A. Covenant Discipleship Group
- Methodists invented this form of spiritual support.
- Each member creates personal goals for spiritual growth.
- Members present these to the group as their covenant with God.
- Each month, one or two people share in-depth how they are living their covenants, difficulties encountered, breakthroughs, graces received, etc.
- Others respond with encouragement, clarifying questions, leading questions.
- Members maintain a bond of prayer to support each other between meetings.
B. Seeking Balance through Benedictine Spirituality
- Explore Benedictine Spirituality through prayer, readings, and discussion.
- Topics include Lectio Divina, Rule of St. Benedict, Liturgy of the Hours, Work and Prayer (Ora et Labora), Stewardship of cultural and natural resources.
- Meet regularly for prayer and discussion.
- Alternate with meetings to share progress and challenges in seeking balance in everyday life.
C. Integrating Spirit, Body, and Nature
- Group meets regularly for prayer, light yoga, discussion, possibly nature walks.
- Study ways we become dis-integrated and ways to integrate vital dimensions of ourselves, including our connections with human community and the natural world.
- Study Christian and Buddhist teachings on integration, growth toward wholeness, right relationship.
