The higher self is a woven rainbow of existence.
The soul is ALL colours.
The soul is ALL things.
The current lifetime is but a finger
dipped into the experience of life.
For life is many things.
Many experiences.
Many dances.
Highs, lows and pathways.
Hard, easy, helpful, hindering.
From the beginning of all time
I have climbed mountains and sailed rivers.
The rivers are my journeys in one direction or another.
Sometimes I’ve been graced with the ability to determine the true path.
While other times the veil has been dark.
So the walk was somewhat blind to a Greater Purpose.
Where I stand now is a culmination of ALL paths.
My only struggles now are those I find with myself,
as I fall into the dark places of shadow.
But it’s the shadow self I’ve come here to meet and join with as One.
I will not conquer my shadow self because shadows are not enemies.
They need understanding, love and direction.
Then the shadow self can support the light self in unity of purpose.

The shadow defines the light self, providing contrast and balance.
Darkness is not bad, for no thing in Creation is bad.
It is only perceived as such through lack of understanding.
Listen to the shadow self and you will learn about yourself
and it will teach you about the Light.
For why is there darkness, if not to allow the light to stand out,
for what it is, in its glorious radiance?
Darkness…shadow, is the gift that teaches you that there is Light.
It does this by providing contrast.
This is the purpose of life at all levels.
Learn through contrast – see the opposite so you come to appreciate
the beauty, wonder and glory of all that you are.
As you are ever the glorious divine being of Light, learning about yourself.
What perfection in the world, designed with such magnificence
as to show you what you are capable of and how limitless you are.
You only know limits so that you may learn that you are limitless.
You only know darkness so that you may learn that you are a being of Light.
All is so that you can discover your true limitless and enlightened self.
The God-self.

The shadow self is a powerful part of us that we usually try to hide from. But you’re right that it’s what helps define the light. Working with our shadows can help us understand ourselves better and find that elusive inner peace.
Love the lyrical rhythm of this piece and it’s message of balance within and without.

Beautiful and so true. We learn so much about ourselves through shadow, and only through understanding shadow can we know our true capacity for brilliance.
we are all shades of colour, light and shadow when we walk out of the shadows into the light what a wonderful feeling of freedom and lightness in our body soul and mind.

So we embrace the shadow part of us? then where did this shadow part come from? If the shadow is truly divine then God is not so nice. That means that God gives us both pleasure and pain to fulfill some arbitrary reason
The shadow is not truly something dark or something God, Source or the Divine has done to us to make us suffer in order to learn. We are all divine beings, yet when we come into the density of Earth, we forget our true divine nature and we start to judge things as good or bad, right or wrong. Our soul loves and appreciates ALL experience, but the human self judges things as bad, fearful or negative. It’s that aspect that is our shadow. On the spiritual path, many believe they are meant to be as ‘good’ as they can be…and then they’ll be accepted by Source. Source sees us and accepts us fully, at all times, no matter what. It’s our journey to also accept ourselves fully….to stop trying to be 100% good and realise that all in life is valuable and appreciated experience by the soul. Our soul just wants us to be REAL and an authentic expression of who we are….not fluffy and nice in order to please others. The shadow is therefore the parts of ourselves we hide from and fear. Can we not just love and accept ourselves fully, as Source does?
When you ask “Where does this shadow part come from?”, it’s like light shining anywhere…when you have any obstacle in the way, a shadow appears. Is it real? Not really, because if you remove the obstacle to the light, or move around it, light shines there and the shadow disappears. Fearing the shadow (meaning anything seen as negative) tends to create monsters in the dark, like a child’s fears. It get’s blown out of proportion…fear takes over. It’s the time now for love to shine through in this world, and it will come through each one of us as we love and accept ourselves. xx
I am not insinuatiing the above at all but I just cannot seem to wrap my head around contrast learning as an effective method for anything soul related, in a classroom sure but what I learn in biology is not going to decide the fate of my soul for this lifetime
If we floated in a sea of love, we would not realise or appreciate just how grand that environment is. This earthly environment has been gifted free will and choice, by providing things in contrast….by experiencing a world of duality. We all chose to come here for the experience of it and with a soul-level trust that all is well. Your soul is so much more than your current personality. This person that you are, that I am, is one expression having an experience on Earth. And we each have a choice as to how we want to travel in that experience…how we wish to deal with the experiences, and what we choose to embrace, or not.
